Wow! There was an earthquake in a town near ours last night. It's very unusual to have an earthquake in our area. Today we had the opportunity to Skype in with a person who felt the earthquake.

Here is the USGS site that showed us where the earthquake happened.

Our teacher's friend, Mrs. Whisler, a professional development trainer for ESU #4, Skyped in with us. She told us that the earthquake lasted about 4 or 5 seconds. Her whole house shook but luckily nothing broke. The earthquake measured 3.5. This is a screen capture of our Skype phone call. It was very exciting to get a first person report of the news!
